Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is a retired General Spiritual Director of New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), and our National Spiritual Director of Canada.
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than forty years. His humility and pure example reflect his many years of reliance on his Spiritual Guide.
An internationally renowned Teacher, he is greatly admired throughout the Kadampa world as a pure, sincere practitioner and a powerful Teacher. He is also well-known for his deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and his ability to convey their meaning in a clear, accessible way.

In Canada, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab generally teaches the Regional Dharma Celebrations, such as the Ontario Dharma Celebration, the Québec Dharma Celebration, and the Western Canada Dharma Celebration. He is also frequently requested to teach International or National Festivals, as well as special events throughout Canada and throughout the world.
During the WCDC Gen-la will give be granting the Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Maitreya and teaching the commentaries on Saturday and Sunday.

Gen Kelsang Sanden is a Canadian Buddhist monk, and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver. He has been a long time student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. He is well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings.
Gen Sanden is the main teacher at KMC Vancouver, leading guided retreats, Empowerments, weekend courses and the Foundation study program. as well as many weekly classes. Gen Sanden will teach the Friday night introduction session at this celebration.
Celebration Teacher for Morning Meditation Sessions

A Canadian Buddhist monk, Gen Zopa has been presenting the profound and practical teachings of the Buddhist path for over 25 years. He is the Resident Teacher of Bodhichitta Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Victoria, BC. He teaches introductory classes and the Teacher Training Program and leads retreats and Empowerments in the Victoria region. Renowned for the clarity and depth of his teachings, his warmth and practicality bring to life the ancient art of meditation.
Gen Zopa will be leading the guided meditations on Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Celebration.
